Heuritech Reveals the Romantic Turn of Menswear for FW26/27

Heuritech's Fall/Winter 2026/2027 Menswear Report has been highlighted by the Fashion Network media, revealing a decisive shift toward romantic storytelling and character-driven design across Milan and Florence — in stark contrast to the era of quiet luxury.

According to Heuritech’s AI-powered runway analysis, designers are moving away from singular aesthetics in favor of embodied “characters,” notably the charismatic “villain” and the performative “intellectual.” This narrative turn is reflected in sharp structural details and symbolic pieces: officer (Mao) collars surged by +157% on the runways, while fine vertical stripes rose +86% year-on-year. Purple emerged as the standout color of the season (+14%), rendered in deep, saturated hues.

The data also highlights the rise of the Henley top (+15% growth forecast), sculptural waistcoats, and statement accessories such as thick-rimmed, clear-lens glasses and dramatic maxi-scarves. Meanwhile, subtle color shifts are emerging, with “Blush” and “Lychee” pink shades growing +6% and +4% respectively in Europe.

Beyond romantic intellectualism, Heuritech identifies a parallel “Surrealistic Playground” movement, blending exaggerated tailoring, avant-garde distortion, and artistic brooch details into an aesthetic of organized chaos. Simultaneously, the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics have infused collections with an “Eleganza Alpina” spirit, merging performance fabrics with refined construction.

Powered by large-scale image recognition and machine learning, Heuritech’s analysis confirms that FW26/27 menswear will belong to storytellers — whether inspired by elite sport, cinematic nostalgia, or surrealist experimentation — offering brands a clear, data-backed roadmap for the season ahead.
